Course Overview

The Nonprofit Management Certificate program offers coursework that addresses issues of nonprofit management and issues in the nonprofit sector. This 6-month program has been specifically designed for working professionals to provide them with the tools and abilities to be successful in a growth sector with its unique demands and challenges. The program is designed to meet the needs of working professionals that require the skills and tools necessary to successfully address strategic issues in the nonprofit sector.  

Program Outcomes

Students who graduate with the certificate will become graduate-level alumni of the Department of Political Science, Public Administration, and Leadership Studies. The students will become part of a prestigious network of professionals in the public and nonprofit sector and participate in networking events that provide mentoring and professional growth opportunities.

How to Apply

Cohort 1 Priority Application Period: March 1, 2021 - June 1, 2021

  1. Apply online to Stanislaus State
  2. Submit official transcripts for each college attended to the address below:

Please note: There is a $70 fee to apply to the University.  This fee may be paid online when you apply.

Tuition & Financial Aid

Courses are $650 per unit with each course being 3 units each. 

The total for all four courses in the certificate program is $7,800.

Financial Aid (in the form of undergraduate level loans) is available for this program.

Please note: Students only eligible to receive funding for one 12 month period. If they do not finish the certificate within the 12 months, they will not be able to continue to receive funding. Students must also be in at least 6 units per semester to be eligible for loans.
