Innovation and workforce development are essential elements for
community and economic development. They support the social and
economic well-being of the region by providing individuals with
the skills, knowledge, and experience they need to secure
employment with competitive wages and by promoting regional
business retention, attraction, and economic growth strategies.
The Innovation and Workforce Development Hub (IWDH) is part of
Stanislaus State’s Extended and International Education (EIE)
division. It contributes to the development of the region by:
- Preparing individuals with flexible and manageable workforce
training and experience that result in high-skill and high-wage
employment
- Developing and presenting affordable, results-driven
workplace training for businesses, organizations, and industries
Partnerships
The Innovation and Workforce Development Hub (IWDH) contributes
to EIE’s active involvement in the local and regional communities
by establishing and maintaining a network of inspirational and
innovative partnerships with state, municipal, and county
agencies, community-based organizations, businesses, and
industries. It aligns non-credit program development with
regional workforce development needs and industry standards by
identifying economic trends, regional skills gaps, and career
pathways. The hub is committed to leading the design of valuable
training opportunities for incumbent and prospective employees
for the businesses and industries of the region, as well as
offering affordable, results-driven developmental and
professional education programs to the public, preparing and
equipping individuals to pursue employment opportunities.
Mission: To provide innovative,
customer-responsive training opportunities to lead the economic
and social development of the region by decreasing unemployment
and underemployment
Vision: Empowering the community through
the development of a skilled, dynamic, and diverse workforce
About
