Improve your ability to communicate using English in the business world. This program is open to students (ages 16 and older) and professionals. Join us to:
- Improve your business vocabulary.
- Practice using English in real-world business contexts.
- Visit local businesses and apply your knowledge.
- Participate in lectures from the business faculty on topics including accounting, finance, international business management, strategy and entrepreneurship management, marketing, and operations management.

Course Schedule
Students on F-1 visas entering the United States for the first time must study full-time. Others may take as many courses as they like.
Course Descriptions
- Business Lectures (20 hours) – Lectures from experienced local business people and Stan State business faculty
- Career Skills (18 hours) –practice and projects to help you use English in real business settings such as presentation skills, report and email writing, and practice with facilitating meetings and negotiations
- Critical Analysis (18 hours) – in-depth exploration of real business case studies
- Reading and Vocabulary for Business – (16 hours) – building English vocabulary and reading comprehension skills for success in the business world
- Explore the Business World (16 hours) – visits to Central California businesses and exploration of real-world business practices

Per Course Costs
Certain students inside the United States and all students outside the United States may enroll part time. Our classrooms are fully equipped to accommodate in-person and virtual enrollment and participation. To participate virtually, you will need a device (computer, phone, tablet) that has an internet connection and can stream video and you will need to be able to participate live in classes and collaborate with classmates on assignments both inside and outside of class times.
