International Admissions

Stan State is a wonderful option for students who want to study in an environment that is conducive to learning, with easy access to attentive faculty and supportive staff. At Stan State, our classes are small, our campus is safe and our student services are abundant. We offer a wide array of first-rate programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

How do you know if you are an international student?
  • You are not a U.S. Citizen or a Permanent Resident (Green Card)
  • You hold or intend to hold non-immigrant F-1/J-1 visa status while you are studying at Stanislaus State

Students who have completed an undergraduate degree can take their educational goals to the next level by applying for one of our Master’s or our Doctoral program. Stanislaus State presently does not conditionally admit applicants to graduate programs (Masters or Ph.D.) who have not provided a TOEFL, IELTS, or ELS Language Center Score with their application.

How to Apply

Conditional Admission

Students who wish to be admitted to a program, but are not yet proficient in English, can enroll in the English Language Program first in order to improve their English skills with the goal to gain full admission into the university at a later date.
